Overwhelming Feelings
Emotions are like a tower of building blocks.
We watch them grow. One block at a time.
Most of the time the tower is perfectly manageable.
Sometimes blocks get removed, another is added. Measured.
Other times we watch each block land on top of another. We feel helpless to it.
The tower grows along with a sense of panic.
Somewhere internally there’s screams of ‘this will not work’ ‘someone has to make this stop’
Meanwhile we stay paralysed, feeling like we are trapped under the blocks we are watching.
How do I make the bricks stop?
